A stupendous success, Shatika for the first time ever held a private exhibition in Bengaluru, hosted by the House of Parama on the 10th and 11th of June 2017, in one of Bangalore’s sought after locales: Adarsh Palm Retreat. The trendy IT hub saw the crème de la crème of Bangalore, excited to be part of the trunk show that had cherry picked handloom sarees from various weaving clusters of India. UPAHAAR, the trunk show, hosted by Ms.Nandini Lakshminarayan for the House of Parama, had an enviable variety of sarees with an array of textures and designs curated from different parts of the country. The guests were drawn to the event by their love of heritage and handlooms. There was a mix of connoisseurs, the young, and the uninitiated that dropped by to check out the buzz and ended up becoming ardent fans of both the delectable collection and the rich history behind the weaves.

The House of Parama is zealous about promoting hand touched products that marry aesthetics and function. The mutual passion for promoting handlooms and the weaving community, saw the House of Parama and Shatika combine their synergies to present UPAHAAR, an impactful Handloom Trunk Show.
